Miguel Danielson

Miguel DanielsonMiguel Danielson is founder and Managing Member of Danielson Legal LLC. Mr. Danielson is a veteran of two top law firms in Boston, having previously practiced at Testa, Hurwitz & Thibeault LLP, and Goodwin Procter, LLP. Mr. Danielson has formidable experience in a wide variety of intellectual property and transactional technology law matters. He has advised hundreds of technology and IP-focused clients on trademark portfolio protection and strategy, copyright issues, licensing and technology transactions, due dilligence and corporate IP matters, domain name and Internet issues, and related matters.

Mr. Danielson has served as primary outside trademark counsel to numerous publicly traded companies and has counseled dozens of companies of all sizes on all aspects of trademark portfolio development and strategy. He has served as primary licensing counsel to dozens of software companies and has advised a multitude of technology companies on IP issues relating to multi-million dollar corporate transactions including acquisitions by publicly traded companies. Mr. Danielson has also advised companies on pre-litigation and litigation matters involving copyright, trademark, and patent infringement.

Mr. Danielson holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and a B.S. in Management Information Systems from the University of Minnesota. He is admitted to practice before the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts, and the Federal District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

Randall Morin

Randall Morin is Of Counsel to Danielson Legal, where he focuses on patent and trademark matters. Randall Morin’s intellectual property practice has focused on counseling advanced technology companies with the clearance, protection, and enforcement of patents and trademarks. He has worked with a large number of venture-backed start-up companies, venture capital firms, and licensing research institutions to protect technologies and products from infancy, through development, and into the marketplace. His clients have had business interests in a wide variety of fields including life sciences, medical devices, nanotechnology, software, and mechanical devices.

Mr. Morin’s experience includes the management and prosecution of hundreds of patent applications in the U.S. and over a dozen international jurisdictions. He has significant experience in patent drafting and prosecution, searching and clearance, and appeal proceedings. Mr. Morin also has experience in patent licensing and business strategy counseling.

Prior to graduating from Boston University School of Law in 2004, with honors, Randall worked as a life science industry professional for nearly a decade. For much of that time, he worked in a product development laboratory focused on optimizing products for market entry. Randall holds a Master’s degree in Biotechnology Engineering from Tufts University’s Department of Chemical Engineering.
